Highlight of this year's Volunteer Recognition
Over 100 people attended the Volunteer Recognition Reception, sponsored
by TD Banknorth, N.A., where the generous efforts of the volunteers were
celebrated. The event recognized several outstanding volunteers
including:
- Susan DeKeukelaere who received the Mary Keeley Award
- Brandon & Joshua Prettyman who received Outstanding Youth Awards
- Jack Brinckloe, Judy Freeman, George Hack, Marguerite Palmore, Hilda Sterling, Dottie Teixeira, and Mel Tiger who received President’s Call to Service Awards (for over 4000 volunteer hours in a life time)
- Special recognition to Gail Burger & the volunteers from REHAB Programs, Inc.
- Retiring Board members Owen T. Clarke Jr. and Roderick J. MacLeod, Esq.
Community Service Awards were presented to the following: Central
Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation, Dutchess County Realtors Association,
Hyde Park United Methodist Church, Glory Oasis, Marist Campus Ministry,
Northeast Community Center, Settled For Less, Inc., TD Banknorth, N.A.,
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Foundation, and Vassar Temple
Life Saver Awards were presented to the following volunteers:
- Mary Dynes for help with the Coat Drive and Post Office Food Drive
- Girl Scout Troop 433 for help in the Children’s Clothes Closet and the Office
- Jill McCloud for help with Acts of Kindness
- Pedro Ramirez for help with the Coat Drive
Extra Mile Awards were presented to the following volunteers:
- Holiday carolers for Funding Raising
- Good Samariteen for help with the GIFTS Program
- Susan Noggel for help with Beverly Closs Food Pantry
- Rosemary Ragonese for help in the Lunch Box
