Public Affairs Committee
  • Promotes community and donor awareness of agency programs/services.
  • Establishes annual fundraising plan.
  • Carries out fundraising activities - including special events as needed.
Volunteer Committee
  • Review volunteer trends and give recommendations based on the needs of the organization.
  • Assist with the annual Volunteer Recognition Reception.
  • Ensure community awareness of program services by networking in the community.

  • Deliver meals to HIV/AIDS clients
Office Support Provide help in the office - an ongoing need to assist with data entry, mailing lists updates, and various other clerical tasks.
IT System Skills
Lunch Box Help with food preparation, serving, and some cleanup for the mid-day meal provided six days a week.
Lunch Box Evening Meals
      (usually last week of month)
Help with food preparation, serving, and some cleanup for the evening meal on designated days.
Translators There is an ongoing need for Spanish/English translators for the growing population served at Dutchess Outreach, especially for the Food Pantry and for the Emergency Assistance Program.
Transportation
  • Pick up food from stores
  • Pick up large food donations (ex. Post Office collection)
  • Pick up coats from storage facilities/cleaners
Acts of Kindness
  • Pick up donated merchandise and clothing
  • Sort merchandise and clothing
  • Distribute merchandise and clothing to other non-profit agencies
Interviewer/Advocate Interview clients to assess their needs.
  • Provide information about public assistance, food stamps, Medicaid, etc.
  • Refer to other appropriate community resource
  • Intake interviews for food pantry
Children's Clothes Closet
  • Sort and hang children's clothes
  • Monitor clients in the Clothes Closet
