Dutchess Outreach could not help the scores of people we do each week without
the many volunteers who assist our efforts. We are always in need of additional
hands and hearts. Here are just a few ways you can assist…- Office support (phones, filing, mailings, computer skills)
- Lunch and evening meal service at The Lunch Box
- Preparation and delivery of meals to those homebound with HIV/Aids
- Distributing items through our Clothing Closet and Acts of Kindness programs
- Helping at an Annual Event, such as our Brunch, the Postal Carriers’ Food Drive, or our Coat Drive
- Contributing to a Board Committee
Volunteer Profile

Karl DeKeukelaere
For over five years, Karl
has volunteered in a variety of roles at Dutchess Outreach. He currently serves
as the Secretary of our Board of Directors, the Chair of our Volunteer
Committee, and a driver for the GIFTS program delivering meals to homebound
HIV/AIDS patients. Karl’s late wife Susan first got him involved with the
organization, and her legacy is just one reason why his service still continues.
He’s heavily involved with the Annual Postal Carriers’ Food Drive in May and the Coat Drive each October/November. As Karl says, “volunteering takes little time to help those in need.” Our thanks to Karl for all he does to help our clients and staff each week.
