Though many may not realize, poverty does exist in Dutchess County. Since 1974, Dutchess Outreach has helped thousands of men, women and children who have little or no income and need help obtaining basic needs.

Whether it’s distributing food to hungry families, providing clothes for children, or assisting with eviction or utility shut-off notices, our staff and volunteers provide clients a helping hand, not a handout. 

We help our clients maintain their dignity, sometimes during devastating circumstances. Each client comes to us with a unique situation, and we treat each with the individuality he or she deserves.
